GMB Members At Morrisons Vote For Strike Action

GMB & TGWU members working at Morrisons distribution depots will take strike action on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th September pending the completion of the legal requirement to notify the company of the impending action. There will be further six days of strike action after the 29th September

GMB estimate that the distribution depots covered by the votes supply about 60% of the Morrisions 350 supermarkets in Britain. They also supply some BP garage, forecourt shops.

Paul Kenny, GMB Acting General Secretary said, "GMB calls on Morrisons to respond to us within the next 48 hours and bring us some positive proposals before attitudes harden."
